Roy, Lauren DDS
Dr. Lauren Roy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry with honors. After graduation, she completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the ECU School of Dental Medicine. She decided to settle in the triangle after her training.
Dr. Roy believes in personalized patient care. She enjoys getting to know her patients and offering services that best fit their needs. Dr. Roy's calling is to provide quality dental care and help educate patients about ways to improve their oral health. Dr. Roy strives for all patients to have a great dental experience.
In her free time Dr. Roy enjoys exercising, cooking, and spending time with her niece and nephew.
Dr. Shin earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2013. She later worked as a research assistant in a biochemistry laboratory at the University of Virginia, where she gained valuable experience in both scientific research and clinical application. Her research contributed to the publication of an article in a major scientific journal.
Dr. Shin enjoys working with patients of all ages and is committed to providing high-quality, personalized dental care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She strives to create a comfortable and relaxed environment where patients feel welcomed and well cared for.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Shin volunteers once a month at Luke Charity Clinic, helping provide care for refugees and underserved communities.
Dr. Shin has been married to her husband, Dr. Sae Kim, for over 20 years. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys traveling, camping, and reading & Drawing

Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and earned his dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2010.
Dr. Kim proudly served in the United States Army as a Captain and General Dentist. During his military service, he also served as a DENTAC Infection Control Officer.
Dr. Kim has completed advanced training in 3D CAD/CAM cosmetic dentistry at the expert level.
He previously served as a Board Member of the non-profit LUKE Clinic and remains actively involved in providing free dental care for underserved and refugee communities as a dental team leader.
As a careful listener, Dr. Sae Kim takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals in order to recommend the most effective and personalized dental treatments. Dr. Kim is known for his warm personality and chairside manner that is confident, respectful, and caring. He is committed to delivering long-lasting esthetic results while providing the highest quality of dental care.
Dr. Kim’s wife is also a general dentist. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding bicycles, gardening, and being outdoors.
Dr. Yung Lee earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UNC Adams School of Dentistry in 2022. After graduation, Dr. Lee completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at ECU School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Lee is deeply passionate about helping others and committed to providing personable, compassionate care to all patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys daily runs and cherishes time with his wife, Dr. Lauren Roy.
